Each piece of our jewelry is handcrafted and therefore delicate. Please use appropriate care to enjoy our jewelry for a long time. We believe that most of your questions will be answered below, if not, please email info@thestatementhouse.com.
MY JEWELRY ISN'T QUITE AS SHINY AS IT USED TO BE - HOW DO I CLEAN IT?
Use a jewelry polishing cloth to gently clean the surface of your piece. If this does not work, send us a message and we'll happily mail you a jewelry polishing pad.
MY SILVER JEWELRY TARNISHED, ANY TIPS?
If you live in an area with a lot of humidity, jewelry tends to tarnish faster in these conditions. When you’re not wearing your piece, be sure to store it in a jewelry box or pouch to protect it from any moisture. Please also be sure to not store your jewelry in areas of your home that are susceptible to moisture, such as the bathroom.
I LOST ONE OF MY EARRINGS – CAN I PURCHASE JUST ONE EARRING REPLACEMENT?
Yes! We charge half the price of the cost of the entire pair. For example, if you pair is $40, we can make you an individual replacement for $20. Please note - our prices can change so this will be based on the current cost of the pair. If you bought the pair three years ago, note that the cost has probably gone up since the original purchase. Please contact us and we’ll send you more information on how to get a mate made for your earring.
MY POST FELL OFF MY EARRING, CAN YOU FIX IT?
Yes! We can fix it, free of charge. Please contact us and we’ll send you more information on the next steps.
CAN I WEAR MY JEWELRY IN WATER?
We do not recommend that you wear your The STATEMENT HOUSE jewelry in the shower or swimming in chlorine or the ocean. However, if you forget and do wear your jewelry in the water, please be sure that your jewelry is completely dried afterwards to avoid tarnishing.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
IS YOUR JEWELRY HYPOALLERGENIC?
Yes. All of our jewelry is hypoallergenic. If you are allergic to sterling silver or 14k gold, there still runs the small possibility you may have a reaction. Many of our customers with sensitivities to other types of jewelry have been able to comfortably wear THE STATEMENT HOUSE jewelry.
WHAT IS 14K GOLD-FILL?
With proper care, your gold filled jewelry should last many years! Gold-filled is made by fusing a layer of 14kt gold to a base metal—usually brass – that results in a permanent bond. The gold layer on gold-filled products is thicker and will wear better than gold-plated products and the two shouldn't be confused. Although gold-filled is considered hypoallergenic, some people who are especially sensitive to metals may still have sensitivities to it.

CAN I CHANGE MY ONLINE ORDER ONCE IT’S BEEN PLACED?
Once the order is received, we will start processing your order right away. Please contact us ASAP and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
CAN I UPDATE THE SHIPPING ADDRESS ON MY ORDER?
Please send us a note immediately to info@thestatementhouse.com. You will receive an email back to confirm the change.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?
All online orders will ship within 2-7 business days. We use USPS Priority Insured Mail and will arrive in 2-4 days upon shipment. You will also receive an email when your order ships so you can track your shipment.
HOW LONG WILL MY CUSTOM ORDER TAKE TO SHIP?
Please allow your order to take 1-2 weeks to complete. We strive to make your piece as quickly as possible.
WHAT IF I’M PURCHASING TO SEND AS A GIFT?
When checking out, please be sure to let us now it’s a gift by choosing gift wrap at check out. Also, if you’d like us to handwrite a message to the recipient, you can include in the notes. We have you covered!
SHIPPING
WHAT SHIPPING PROVIDER DO YOU USE?
We use the United States Postal Service and use Priority Insured Mail.
IS MY PACKAGE INSURED?
Yes, all online orders are insured by USPS. Please make sure that your order is shipping to a secure location. Once the package has been delivered to the correct location we cannot be responsible for lost or stolen packages.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
WHAT IS YOUR RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY?
If you are, for any reason, unhappy with an item that you have purchased from THE STATEMENT HOUSE, you may return or exchange it within 14 days of receipt for a either a full refund, or credit toward a new piece. The piece must remain unworn and in the original packaging, and show no signs of wear. Please contact us to initiate the return process.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO PROCESS MY RETURN?
Once we have received your return, you will be notified via email. Please allow 3-5 business days for your return to be processed. From there, it will take around 7-12 business days for your bank to post the refund to your account. Your refund will be credited to the same credit card used to make the original purchase.
IF I BUY A GIFT FOR SOMEONE AND THEY WANT TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE IT, HOW DO YOU HANDLE RETURNS/EXCHANGES?
The person who was gifted a piece may return or exchange it to us within 14 days of receipt for either a full refund, or credit toward a new piece. The piece must be unworn, in the original packaging, and show no signs of wear. Please contact us to initiate the return process.
MY PURCHASE WAS A CUSTOM ORDER. CAN I RETURN OR EXCHANGE IT?
All custom pieces are final sale. No exceptions, please. Of course, we want you to be happy with your purchase, so please contact us to possibly alter the final design to your liking.
